Soap is supposed to clean your hands, right?

You’d be right in thinking that hand soap is a key part of a good hand hygiene routine. It helps to wash away the bacteria you’ve collected on your hands after a visit to the loo, and its use is essential if you want to avoid transmitting harmful bacteria and viruses.
The fact is, if you’ve just used a bulk fill soap dispenser, the likelihood is that you’ve done just that.
Every time someone fills it up from a bulk fill container, they’ve just opened the door for a whole load more cross contamination.
Just think about the last time anyone cleaned out the soap dispenser. Last year? Five years ago? Never? What about all the bacteria that’s lurking in there ready to pounce on the next set of unsuspecting hands.
Studies have shown that one in four bulk fill soap dispensers contain illness causing bacteria.
The bad news is, once a dispenser has been contaminated, the germs just keep coming back. And that’s besides the debris (think dead flies or anything else that’s sneaked in there) and whatever else is lurking in the mechanism of the dispenser.
Using a hygienically sealed pouch system means you’re protecting yourself from the risk of cross contamination.
Not only does it dramatically reduce the risk of cross contamination, there’s a host of other benefits from using a cartridge system to dispense your product.
It’s more cost effective, takes less time to service the dispensers and they are serviced less frequently. It’s kinder on the environment too, with some studies suggesting that using a cartridge or pouch soap system can save up to 60% of plastic waste.
Knighton Janitorial offer a range of hygienically sealed soap and sanitising systems, including the k-One foam soap system available in our popular customisable foam soap dispensing platform.
